Methodology: how we collect and mark the data
This site does not rank political texting platforms. It records what each vendor publishes about price, fees, sending method and 10DLC help, links each value to its source and dates it. We did not test deliverability. Six criteria and weights are planned, but no scores exist yet.
TextByChoice owns this guide and is one of the 10 platforms compared, collected the same way as the rest. DashOne.ai produces it and checks the data, so it is not an independent review. Disclosure
How we collect data
- Prices, fees, sending method, 10DLC and setup values come from the vendor's own pricing, feature, help and terms pages. We do not use reviews or ratings. The cost calculator and the legal summaries are separate and have their own sources.
- Each value is stored with the page it came from and the date we read it. Data was last updated September 25, 2026.
- When a vendor does not publish something, the value says "Not published" or "Not stated", with the pages we checked.
- When two pages of the same vendor disagree, we show both values and set the field in amber text.
- Deliverability is only reported as the vendor states it, and only when the vendor states it. We did not test delivery.
What amber text means
Text in amber means a value or a paragraph is unconfirmed, differs between vendor pages, or is editorial judgment that the site owner and DashOne.ai have not approved yet. It is never a claim that the value is wrong. The site owner keeps the list of open items.
Legal summaries are for orientation only and are not legal advice. Political texting rules change and differ by state, so confirm with counsel.
The six criteria
We plan to score every vendor, including TextByChoice, which owns this site, on the same six criteria and weights below. Scores are not published yet.
- Price, 25 of 100. Cost per message, monthly fees, and whether replies cost extra.
- Deliverability, 20 of 100. Delivery rates, as reported by the vendor unless we tested them.
- Compliance tooling, 20 of 100. Built-in opt-outs, quiet hours, consent records and 10DLC help.
- Setup and ease, 15 of 100. Registration or launch time as stated by the vendor, and how easy it is for volunteers.
- Features, 10 of 100. Picture and video texts, integrations and reports.
- Support, 10 of 100. Support channels, hours and Election Day coverage.
These are the weights we plan to use. They appear in amber until the scoring sheet is published, so this site does not rank platforms today.
What we do not do
- We do not test delivery or send messages through any platform.
- We do not publish scores or a ranking. The criteria below are planned, and the weights are the site owner's choice.
- We do not give legal advice.
